Shannon’s new work in progress was awarded a slot in the New Queer Works Development series.
He has been awarded a spot in the playwriting track at the 2020 Conference on James Baldwin in Southern France. [postponed to 2021 because of the corona virus]
He was awarded a spot as a Finnovation Fellow for 2019/2020. 120 people applied and 20 were chosen to be finalists and participate in selection day in late July. 9 Fellows were chosen.
He was awarded a spot in the 2019 Lambda Literary’s Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBTQ Voices and study playwriting with Mfoniso Udofia. This retreat took place in August of 2019 in LA.
