What is Shannon up to?

He was awarded a spot as a Finnovation Fellow for 2019/2020. 120 people applied and 20 were chosen to be finalists and participate in selection day in late July. 9 Fellows were chosen. To read more about the Fellowship and his application check out the press release.

He was awarded a spot in the 2019 Lambda Literary’s Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBTQ Voices and study playwriting with Mfoniso Udofia. This retreat took place in August of 2019 in LA.

He’s one of the teaching artists for Uprising Theatre Company’s first summer camp for transgender teens and adults! This camp will take place in Minneapolis at the end of August.

He’ll be speaking about the history of queer theology and modern queer theological work at St. Thomas University in Minneapolis on October 7, 2019. He’ll also be teaching a workshop about queer theology for the Center For Prophetic Imagination in Minneapolis in 2019.

Shannon’s newest play “in a stand of dying trees” will be produced by Uprising Theatre Company in November of 2019.
